The Paper Barrier Coating Machine manufactured by Mohindra Mechanical Works is designed to apply a uniform functional barrier layer onto paper and paperboard rolls. Depending on the selected coating formulation, the finished paper can provide resistance against water, grease, oil, moisture or water vapour.

The machine operates through a continuous roll-to-roll process comprising controlled unwinding, precision Mayer Bar coating, multi-zone hot-air drying and automatic rewinding. Its PLC-based control system enables convenient adjustment of machine speed, web tension, coating operation and drying temperature. Automatic web alignment helps maintain accurate paper movement and uniform coating across the working width.

The machine is suitable for manufacturing coated paper used in food wrapping, paper cups, takeaway packaging, bakery products, labels and other paper-based packaging applications. Its working width, number of coating stations, drying length and heating source can be customized according to the required barrier performance and production capacity.
