About Mayer Bar Coating Machine

The Automatic Mayer Bar Coating Machine manufactured by Mohindra Mechanical Works is engineered for applying thin, smooth and accurately controlled coating layers on paper, plastic film, aluminium foil, non-woven material and flexible laminates. Its wire-wound Mayer Bar meters the liquid coating and helps maintain a consistent wet-film thickness across the complete substrate width.

The machine incorporates automatic unwinding, web guiding, closed-loop tension control, Mayer Bar coating, multi-zone hot-air drying, cooling and controlled rewinding systems. Its PLC and HMI touchscreen enables convenient adjustment of production speed, web tension, drying temperature and coating parameters. Interchangeable Mayer Bars allow different coating thicknesses to be achieved according to the application. Working width, drying length, heating source and coating arrangement can be customized according to the substrate and coating formulation.
