OGR Paper Coating Machine About

The OGR Paper Coating Machine manufactured by Mohindra Mechanical Works is designed for applying an Oil and Grease Resistant barrier coating onto paper and paperboard rolls. The coated paper is suitable for packaging food and other products containing oil, butter, grease or fatty ingredients.

The machine operates through a continuous roll-to-roll process comprising automatic unwinding, precision coating, controlled hot-air drying and uniform rewinding. Its Mayer Bar coating arrangement helps maintain a consistent coat weight and even coverage across the complete paper width.

A PLC-based control system allows operators to manage production speed, web tension, coating parameters and drying temperature. Automatic edge guiding keeps the paper correctly aligned during processing. The machine can handle suitable water-based polymer, bio-based and customized OGR coating formulations. Working width, coating stations, drying length and heating source can be customized according to the required grease-resistance level and production capacity.
